I engaged Katie for coaching as part of my current career break. I was feeling a little beaten up from a professional point of view and needed to regain some lost confidence before thinking about joining the job market again. 

Together we worked on understanding what my strengths are, exploring my values and getting clarity on what I am looking for next. I'll admit I struggled with introspection at the first but Katie made it feel very natural and suggested some exercises that helped me to focus.  I always looked forward to our sessions as I learnt from each and every one of them and felt uplifted afterwards.

Katie is an absolute pleasure to work with.  She is hugely engaging whilst also being appropriately challenging, a balance not easily found but Katie is a natural.

The sessions have more than restored my lost confidence.  They have completely changed my view on how I will be approaching my job search in the future by having a much clearer understanding of what’s important to me. I came to coaching because I’d been feeling unfulfilled by my career for a long time! I knew there was something better for me but felt unclear on how to work out what that was.

Katie and I spent several sessions going into my values and strengths, a lot more than I had anticipated, and it was highly beneficial. It brought up a lot for me on my discomfort in acknowledging strengths. Katie challenged and probed in a really effective way which allowed me to challenge myself and recognise the limiting beliefs I was holding onto. 

We then had sessions discussing career options that align with my values and enable me to use my strengths. From there I was able to tackle the more practical assessment and researching of these options. 

Ultimately, the experience gave me more clarity, more confidence and certainty with what I really want next in my career. And I am grateful for Katie's support in getting me to this place.

Katie is an excellent coach and career adviser, she really helped me figure out my next step after I lost my job. I had been leading a large retirement research project at a large insurance company and wanted to continue working to build age-inclusive workplaces so that older workers continue to have options for the future. This is a very specialist area with not a lot of obvious career options.

Katie coached me through the process. She helped me clarify exactly what I wanted to do and what I could offer a future employer. Together, we worked on a plan to keep my profile top of mind among my network, while at the same time updating my CV and LinkedIn presence. We explored options for me to work with companies on a different basis than I had in the past so that I could demonstrate the value I could bring to hiring me. It worked and I now have my dream job working as CEO for ProAge a charity in the UK whose aim is to help companies create age inclusive workplaces.

Katie has a natural coaching style. She is patient and encouraging while at the same time not afraid to hold your feet to the fire and challenge preconceived ideas you may have. Katie gives generously of her time and her expertise and takes a great interest in her clients. She has followed up with me on several occasions after our sessions were over to see how my job search was going offering additional support and encouragement as needed.

Talking to Katie has helped me enormously - she got me to really define what I am actually good at and to focus my job search only on the jobs that I know I want to do. And when you're searching for a job - that's tough - your goal is 'get a job' not 'get the right job'. 

Katie coached me through how to re-market myself, focus on what I needed to and splice out the unwanted. We've gone through competency questions - how to answer them, helping me sift through the myriad of examples I had. I've had 18 months of contract work as I couldn't find the right role - and within weeks of my re-focus, it looks like I have an offer coming in. 

Katie is the sane, supportive voice you need; she listens to you and rapidly pinpoints what to target and how to focus to achieve it.

I came to work with Katie as I was feeling stuck in my current place in life, both professionally and personally.
